Pivot Table Slicers

Slicers are a fantastic feature introduced in Excel 2010. They allow easy and clear filtering of pivot table reports and charts, as illustrated below.

LET'S LOOK AT FILTERING WITHOUT SLICERS:
When using regular Pivot Table filters, it isn't clear what is included when filtering multiple items, as demonstrated in the example below. Which cities? Who knows?
